# The Inner World Matters Too

Sometimes the missing piece is not that you need to try harder.
Sometimes the missing piece is that no one has helped you look at the inner world you have been living inside...........
The thoughts you hear.
The stories you believe.
The shame you carry.
The way you speak to yourself when life feels hard.
The way you interpret what happens.
The patterns that keep repeating.
The old wounds that get activated before you even realize you are inside them again.
Because so often, we focus on the outside....
The situation.
The relationship.
The decision.
The symptom.
The reaction.
The thing that happened.
And yes, those things matter.
They are real.
They deserve care.
There are many kinds of support, and many of them have their place.
Clinical support can have a place.
Medical support can have a place.
Therapy can have a place.
Body work can have a place.
Spiritual support can have a place.
Community can have a place.
And the inner world matters too.
Because no matter what support someone is receiving, they are still living inside their own thoughts, beliefs, patterns, memories, fears, interpretations, and inner stories.
And if no one helps you look there, you may keep trying to fix the outside while still living inside the same inner story.
The story that says....
I am too much.
I am not enough.
I always mess things up.
I cannot trust myself.
I have to keep everyone else happy.
There must be something wrong with me.
I should have it together by now.
My needs are the problem.
My feelings are too much.
And when those stories stay unseen, they can shape everything.
What you allow.
What you choose.
What you excuse.
What you silence.
What you carry.
What you make things mean about you.
What you believe you are worthy of receiving.
That is why the inner world matters.
Not because you need to obsess over every thought.
Not because everything is your fault.
Not because you should be able to heal yourself by thinking differently.
But because awareness gives you more information.
It helps you begin to notice....
What is actually happening inside me?
What story am I living from right now?
What pattern keeps repeating?
What is being activated here?
What am I believing about myself?
Is this truth?
Or is this an old wound speaking?
How am I meeting myself inside this moment?
And sometimes that noticing changes everything.
Not all at once.
Not perfectly.
But enough to create a little space.
A little compassion.
A little choice.
A little room to say....
Maybe I am not broken.
Maybe something in me is asking to be understood.
Maybe this moment does not have to own me.
This is part of the work I hold inside Soul Therapy.
Gently helping women notice the inner world they are living inside, so they can begin meeting themselves with more honesty, compassion, and love.
Not to fix you.
Not to tell you who you should be.
Not to rush you into becoming someone new.
But to help you see what has been living underneath the surface, so you can begin coming home to yourself with more awareness, honesty, compassion, and love.
Because sometimes the story beneath the story is the place where the healing begins.
And sometimes the most loving place to begin is not with changing your whole life overnight.
It is with noticing the inner world you have been living inside.
More love, not less. 🩷
With love,
